        STORY BEHIND THE SHIRT

The story behind this T-shirt design is deeply personal. Chris Bernard was one of RNDM’s biggest supporters from the very beginning, not just as a partner, but as a true friend and believer in the brand.

The image on the front was taken back in the late '90s by his alma mater, Adelphi University, during his time on the basketball team. Chris left a lasting legacy at Adelphi, joining the exclusive 1,000-point in just 3 years club with 1,007 career points and ranking seventh in rebounds with 674 at the time of his induction.

The design on the back has its own special story. In 2019, we met up at one of Chris’s favorite spots, Pio Pio in NYC, for dinner. I brought my iPad, and we started chatting about RNDM designs. I casually suggested, "Why don’t we spell out RNDM as RANDOM and handwrite it?" We joked around over a few red sangrias—one of Chris’s favorites—and I asked him to write it out on my iPad. He did. Unfortunately, life took its course, and we never released the design, especially after the pandemic hit.

It’s with a heavy heart that we share the sad news that Chris Bernard passed away on January 2, 2025. He was the best husband, father, son, friend—and, most importantly, a man deeply close to God. All proceeds from the shirt will go to support his wife and children, the Bernard family.
